Behavior Plan
I use Class Dojo, which is an electronic point system. Throughout the day your child may earn points or lose points. Students may earn points for things such as being on task, or receiving compliments from other adults in the school. Students can also lose points for disrespectful/inappropriate behavior.
Losing one point is equivalent to a warning, losing any additional points will result in a consequence. If a student loses five points in a day, a phone call home and/or a visit to the office will occur. At the end of each nine weeks students may use the points they have earned to buy rewards.
I believe parent/teacher communication is key for a successful year. Therefore you will have parent access to Class Dojo so that you may monitor your child’s behavior throughout the day. I will also have the ability to send messages to you directly for reminders about conferences, awards assemblies, and any other things that may “pop up” during the year.
